Commencement 2013 !!!!

I have graduated! My degree is in Business Entrepreneurship with a
minor in Communications!!! So thrilled. Dramatic moment: A girl even fainted while sitting during the commencement. Dropping like flies after finals! Finished my last final (a take-home exam at 3:30 AM Wednesday night. I tell you, it was the most beautiful 3:30 I had ever seen!) I greatly appreciate my family's support throughout my education.

yeah how do you do

Last night I was driving home from work going down the Pacific Coast Highway and La Roux's "In for the Kill" (Skream remix) came on. The song so perfectly went with the night ocean waves as I cruised down my beloved PCH highway.

Black Leather & Mahogany

Happy New Year 2013!

I once decided to cut my hair; never again. It is just a few inches shy of where I yearn for it to be again. It is now dark, almost black and long again. Just in time for the hikes with the Zuma breezes and the ocean air whistling through my hair.

 I consider this short:
I like my friend's top, with the multitude of stars.

Time to set my home in order.
I've always loved the bachelor-pad look. A black shag rug thrown roughshod onto a floor. Wooden beds with black leather and all the encompassing matching furniture. And I want to make it all myself. I love do-it-yourself-ing anything and everything I can. Flea markets & paint stores, on my way! I must be sure to give that warmth feeling upon entering my home. To make one always feel as if the fireplace is on. Serving apple cider and hot chocolate to my guests. I love the emptiness of this one room with nothing but a bed, a bookshelf and a fur blanket thrown onto the bed (I'll be finding a faux one for myself); however, it lacks the warmth I want to emanate. For this, I would paint the walls, or at least one wall, black. Such as the warmth this bathroom represents. I want to do this all myself.

Flea market finds? I think so doable.

I love nothing more than jade. Anything jade. Everything jade. Real, faux, I don't care. This is the most beautiful lamp I have ever seen. It goes perfectly with my most treasured piece of art ever.

Our shadow's taller than our soul

No words. Except: Utter Happiness

My soul was given chills as I listened to Heart's tribute to Led Zeppelin; with John Bonham's son playing the drums in his stead. As I see the tears fill the eyes of Robert Plant and Jimmy Page's opened-mouth exhilaration when he hears the choir join in. As Bonham's son is too, transitioned to a deep, soulful, beautiful place as he is about to honor his father and the three men who gave this world some of its' best music. So epic were the notes filling my ears and my body. I have never been so transitioned except for a short year ago when I stood in front of Alice in Chains and had the ultimate life experience of listening to them live.

The ending is the best.

And as we wind on down the road our shadow's taller than our soul. There walks a lady we all know, who shines white light and wants to show how everything still turns to gold. And if you listen very hard, the tune will come to you at last. When all are one and one is all, to be a rock and not to roll.
